Fans around the world are excited for The Big Bang Theory season seven première, which will air on CBS in the US tonight (September 26) but it seems that the writers have had a few issues with a specific plot point. As you will remember, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) was sent off on a research expedition in the ocean.
Well, the writers then had to come up with a way to link the research trip that Leonard was on, to theoretical physicist Stephan Hawking, which is not easy since Stephen Hawking deals with black holes. Fortunately though, real life science guy Dr. David Saltzberg was on hand, to help solve the problem and save the show.
Dr. Saltzberg explained, "The creators of the show really love science — they read up on it, and they know a lot about it. So sometimes they’ll try their hand at it, and sometimes it’s completely correct and sometimes I offer a little tweak. I’m happy to get the science right. It’s a lot of fun — though I live in fear of someone finding a mistake that gets through."
The Big Bang Theory season seven sees the return of Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kunal Nayyar, Simon Helberg, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, and will première on CBS tonight at 8/7c.
